‘ Becomes . Violently Insane. Jesse Lecount 28 residing near Brunjes Park Lake Wawasee was taken into custody after he had become violently insane. Four men were required to restrain him from violence and hold the demental man in bed until Sheriff Milo Maloy arrived. Lecount’s mental condition was recently shaken over financial losses, the loss of farm land in Michigan and overwork. He is married and has ond child. Make Away With Smokers Three thousand dollars worth of cigarettes and a delivery triuck were stolen from the Hamilton and Harrig tobacco warehouse at South Bend. County Line Reoad Completed.

McClintic Gordy and Colwell Saturday completed the Kosciusko—Elkh’artl county line road of three miles Tun.-. ning east from the Cranberry hill road intersection into Syracuse. The conj tractors completed this job of 15,86¢ feet-at an dverage per working day ol 845 feet. The best days’ total reached 1,032 feet and broke all records for laying pavement in this sec. tion. The road under the law will be opened for traffic after twenty-one days or on Sunday August 3.—Parts of it however will be open this week having cured the required 21 days.

New Auto License Plates.

Miss Nellie Tilley cashier of tli€ Hoosier State Automobile associatioy for the Goshen branch at the Alderman Hotel has received the allotted 4,800 automobile license plates fol 1925. They have a .cream back ground with brown numbers. The licenses bear the numbers from 283,251 to 287,805 inclusive. They are not to be issued until December 12 ancd after of this year. < , '

Thieves Busy at Milford.

Thieves broke into the barn of Wm. Bushong near Milford some time during Saturday night and took all of the tires and extra equipment off ol a new Ford car belonging to Mr. Bashong and also the accessories from a new Studebaker belonging to Kenneth Bushong. Both cars were purchase' recently and the thieves evidently knew where to find just what they wanted. -

Wibash Farmer Killed.

Ward Hutchinson 74 years ‘old who lived two miles north of Lagro in Wa. bash county was fatally injured Saturday morning when he was throww from a hay tedder. He died within an hour. The team of horses which Mr. Hutchinson = was driving became frightened and ran away. .
