' Loss by fire on the Hawpatch creamery at Topeka is estimated at $16,000. There was no one in -the building at the time the blaze start ed. When the city showed some reluetance in repairing the street in the South End on which the W. A. Ruple home fronts that gentleman took the matter into his own ‘hands and not only graded the thoroughfare but put down a new side walk. i

The sheep and wool grading by Claude Harper of Purdue at the George Walker farm near Salem church Friday was well attended and much interest shown. Quite a number from Ligonier were present.
