Birthday ‘Celebration.

Mr. and Mrs, Léo T. Wingard of Syracuse N. Y. formerly of Ligoniej and better known as “Ted” entertained very delightfully Saturday evening Feb 2., at their beautiful home on Collingwood Ave., the event being Mr. Wingard’s birthday. = Progressive etichre was played and at midnight a very sumptuous lunch was served tc sixteen guests the feature being a large birthday cake. ' At a late hour all departed wishing their ho§tess many more happy returns of the day. L

Alimony and Divorce.

Charles D. Cavenier of Elkhart in a cross compiaint to a divorce suit filed by his wife Anne Caveneir asks that he be given the decree and alsc asks for $5,000 alimony. Mrs. Cavenier some time ago filed a suit against her husband charging cruelty. The husband filed a cross-complaint ana charged that his wife is owner of a farm worth $lO,OOO and that he spent much of his own money in making improvements in the farm. :

In Memory of Wilson. Benjamin J. Burris state superintendent of public instruction has sent word to all school officers and teachers in the 'state that the memory of former President Wilson be fittingly observed in the schodls. This will be a work of love on the part of instructors and teachers and will he followed out faithfully.
