News Times of the basketball gxme there Fridas night: o The Goshen high school basket ball Guintet again met defeat at the hands of Ligonier by tne score ot =v to 1€ last evening. A rally started in the second .half put Gosnen in the lead, but after that tim: Ligonier piled up a good lead. 'A Goshen displayed very little from except in the first few’ minutes of the second half. Depite this fact they had a good many shots at the basket which failed to go in. .iSx attempts went in the rin'g and bounced out befgre they- could drop through the net: “Lady Luck” seemed to fa vor the visitors Ligonier does not haye an- execptionally good team this year haying won but three games otl of twelve and two of these were won
from. Goshen. Ligonier won by a scorc of 28 to 16 at Ligonier and scoring but two less points'on their oppon-: ent’s floor shows that Goshelt has showed little improvement since that game. '
Fisher and Bowen were again -thc factors in Goshen’s defeat. Fisher scored ten points and Bowen nine. Shots that -Goshen missed were neted by these two players who seem ed to have “Lady Luck” pn their side.
Whittle and Rathka scored most ot the points for Goshen Baxter, Chap man and Swihart also contributed to Goshen points.
The first half ended ten to four in favor of Ligonier. in the second half Goshen started to stage a. comeback when they scored three field goals iv rapid suecession but this rally was cut short when Ligonier tied @ the score and Goshen could not work together after that. ~ Harold Butz ‘has gone back to Defiance, Ohio, College to resume his studies after -a holiday vacation ai the home near Diamond lake. ’
