Lashier is Pardoned. H. A. Beeson former cashier of the Farmers Loan and Trust Company oi Columbia City has been pardoned from the federal prison at Atlanta Ga., where he has been since March 13, 1923, serving a sentence of I 8 months following his conviction iv federal court on a charge of violating the federal motor vehicle fheft act. A petition for his release-was signed by 4,190 Whitley county residents. The petition expressed confidence in Mr. Beeson and -gave'the opinion that he had been convicted improperly. Shortly before “his conviction Mr. Beeson with several associates had organiezd the Columbia State bank and it is understood he will béa made cashier of the institution upon his return. o .
