Park as a member of the Kendallville library board succeeding Mrs. H. I. Park who resigned owing to her absence from that city so frequently. Diphtheria in LaGrange. On account of an epidemic of diphtheria Judge Drake adjourned the LaGrange circuit court the first of the week and the pretty little town is now under strict quarantine.

Take in Foothall Game. : , Among the visitors at the Witten-berg-Mt. Union Foot ball game—at Springfield, Ohio last Saturday Nov. 17th were: C. H. Seymour, E. ‘E. Kline Rev. R. N. McMichael, Wm. and ArtLur D Crow, Meredith Mullin, Donald Robbins, Eddie Knox, Chester Sloan Ralph Moore,and Alcom Bunger all ot Cromwell. They witnessed a game of real foot ball between the Methodists and Lutherans. The final score 28 tc 6 in favor of Wittenberg. This places Wittenberg 3rd from the top of the Ohio conference list. . The above party of fans motored tc Springfield and while there called on Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maggert.

Burned by Gasolene, George Bowers of rGeen townshir has been in .a critical condßion for several days the result of burns re ceived last Thursday evening while drawing out gasoline from a tank with a lighted lantern. One side of his body, ,face and arm were badly burned and Mrs. Bowers’ hands were quite badly seared in extinguishing the flames. 4 s - 'Business.
