Tragic Death of Aged Couple. Amos Root aged 93 for man§ years a resident .of Wakarusa; shot and killed his wife aged 73 ang .then ended his own life by drinking poison at their home in Mosier, Ore, where they have resided .nearly half a century. The bodtes of the unfortunaie pair were discovered by their giffndchildren.
