Veterans pf the Spanish-American war who were members of Company C, 157th; regiment. Indiana volunteer infantry held a reunion at Lake Wawasee Sunday.with 165 persons present. There were 52 comrades of the company there. The 157th was known during the war as “Studebakeér’s Tigers” and the Ligonier company formed a part of the organigation. ' - - Former State Auditor Suicides. _ William G. Oliver 50 prominent republican former audiitor ‘of state for which office he was defeated: for re-election in 1922; former mayor and former representative in the Indiana general assemtgliftrom Johnsoxn hanged himself in the barn at his home = in Franklin Tuesday. Hiley F. Disher who shot and fataily wounded his wife Elsie Cheney Disher and then killed himself at their home near Scituate, Mass., early Monday was a former resident of Culver, Ind. Mrs. Disher was the heir of the Cheney silk fortune. The quarrel was over money matters, the wife holding the purse strings. ‘ Stamp Lickers to Meet. ’ _The_convention of the National League of Postmasters of the Third and Fourth Classes will be held at Chattanooga Tenn., October 8 9 and 10. Mrs. John Holsinger is prostrated from a stroke of apoplexy suffered at her home in Wolcottville. Death of Mrs. Budd.

Mrs. Anna Jane Budd age 59 died suddenly of heart trouble at the home of-her daughter Mrs.' Joe MeDuffee near LaOtto Monday _afternoon at 3 o’clock. She was. stricken Monday morning and ‘Weakened rapidly until the end. She expired a few minutes after she had called her daughter ‘and family to her bedside. Mrs. Budd was a danghter of the late Emanuel gnd Margaret Neely Baker and was born December 17 1864 .she was united in marriage to George Budd who died March 21, 1918. Besides Mrs. McDuffeé she is survived by Mrs. Jesse McCoy °of Wolf Lake. ; i ¢
