Death of Samuel - Franeis.

~ Samuel Francis aged 46 years life ‘long resident of South Milford until about four years ago and for the past two years proprietor of the Lake Shore Hotel at Fort Wayne died Friday morning following a critical iliness of only a few days. Death was due to compications. He - returned from Mt. Clemens, Mich., last Friday .where he had been taking treatment and to his friends who were not aware of his condition the news of his death came as a distinct surpirse. The deceased was born on the old Francis homestead near South Milford. o ' Electric Fans For Cows. ' Farmers of Bartholomew county who made a tour of several dairy farms in -that county were impressed by a series of electric fans in the cattle barn at the farm of Marion H. Amick. Five fans are sc placed that they cover the barn. The fans keep flies from the cows and by making the animals more comfortable, add to the production of butter fat, Mr. Amick said. Another advantage of the system he said is that farm laborers are willing and anxious to milk the cows under this arrangement. Formerly this work was avoided as much' as possible.
