A bountifal dinner , music and social visiting composed an entertainment most enI joyable to all. Every part of .the immediate vicinity thereabouts was ‘represented by this pioneer family and among those from away were Mr. and ‘Mrs. 0. C. Kinnison, Toledo, 0., Mr. and Mrs. O. A. ‘Strong Man Stricken. £ J%ob Myers once Noble county’s stroligest man who successfully com: peted in a pulling patch against two horses in Wawaka was stricken by the heat while shingling a building there for Frank Knepper. He was taken home and is quite ill. ;

' ~ This was the action taken by the commerical body Wednesday nooon at the regular meeting and luncheon. ~ This means that the regular noon luncheon will be dispensed witn scheduled for Wednesday noon July 11, the evening meal at the lake taking its place. : o i It is understood that each member bears the expense of his guests. There were but 22 members to re: spond &t yesterday’s meeting, many of the business men being away on outings and very little business came up for action. . : : The committee in charge .of the municipal bathing pool known as the Ole Swimmin’ Hole reported through its chairman W . H. Bender that the pool is being well patronized with Orlen Chapman in charge. It was suggested that the bed of the river be dredged at that point 8o as to secure a deeper water level. This it is beljeved may be done with a scraper. J. C Brunk was chosen to organize the boys and girls for a tag day to raise funds for meeting the expense of the caretaker and the improvements sugegsted. : e - Dr. Keehn, chairman of the parkl committee. and tourist camping ground reported that Freed park is now beautifully illuminated at night with electric¢ lights and is growing in popularty with tourist campers eleven cars occupying the camp |Tuesday \nlght. The average number to camp there is about 7 a night. : The application for membership of Harry Beck was received and action upon it went over two weeks under the rules. Mr. Beck is the new cashier of the Farmers & Merchants Bank and is a popular young man. He will make a valued member.
The Eichhorn Players
The Eichhorn Players who are ia Goshen this week will open in Ligoneir Monday July 2nd in “Caste” T. W. Rebertson’s world famous comedy and will present two new plays that have never been staged before. ‘My Lady’s Nerves” on Tuesday evening ‘'which is a new 8 act light comedy and their feature “Beggars All' ’written by Merritt William Green who is one ‘of the company and who plays the leading role in. his own play. i ~ In three respects the Bichhorn Repertoire company is unique, differing from other traveling companies in that all the players are college men and women; it is a small company playing the beést plays and using the new modern curtain scenery ‘witn special ‘designed back drops and latest in lighting effects = ‘ ; ~ The Eichhorn Players are touring Indiana and Michigan going north toi the Michigan summer resorts the latter part of July and August. They travel by car and trucks carrying their own big tent. : :

~ Death of Mrs. Bowsher. c ~ Mrs. Amos Bowsher of Topeka pass‘ed away in an Blkhart hospital Tueslday where she had been taken for treatment. Her age was 74 years and she was a pioneer resident of LaGrange coutny. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Harley and Howard Bowsher and four daughters Mrs. Wilda Shoup, Mrs. E. B. Dunten Mrs. Fred Moltz, and Mrs. Walter ‘Houlders. The funeral will occur from ‘the late Topeka home Friday. )
