MecCray the stretch of the Lincoln Highway between Ligonier and Churubus co, 15 miles, will not be hard sufraced until 1925. The program for 1923, 1924 and 3925 costing approximately $27,811,000 were outlined Friday by Gov. McCray and the sjate highway commisgion. u e The program designed to carry out part of McCray's aim to “make his mark” in highway and educationai improvements, called for construction ‘of 958.9 miles at an estimated cost of 329000 a mile. This total would be divided as follows: Pengdad b '153.9 miles in 1923.. ol -405.56 miles in 1924, . i 3995 miles in 1925. . i It was said the construction will link all important roads in one continnous network of highways and! supplant = the “skip-stop” system! which transportation has outgrown. | Included 'in the 1923 ‘program ar¢ the following roads: South Bend south 105 miles; Fort Wayne west (Lincoln Highway) 12.6; in 1924, La-Grange-Middlebury 26.5; and in 1925 Lizonier-Churunbusco 15 miles. ¢

By a financial statement publishel elséwhere in this issue of the Banner it will be noted that the resources of Citizens Bank are over one million dollars. This is a great showing for a monetary institution in a city the size of Ligonier. L L

Three Bigs Stills Are Found.

Three large stills were found by prohibition officers in St. Joseph coun: ty Wednesday night and Thursday: One the second largest ever found in the county had a capacity of 115 gallons. The still was found in a vacani house near New Carlisle. son
