~_The fifth annual Older Boys Conference held in' this city Saturday night and Sunday was a great succets. . While the attéendance was not as large as we expected, the spirit of the conference was |perhaps the best of any held in thi county to date. The value of these conferences cannot be estimated. Seventy-five fellows enjoyed the banguet at .the Christian church Saturday night and the splendid program which follovved. Miss Helen Green gave the address of welcome to the homes of the "city. Miss Green was original in her talk and put every fellow on his ‘honor while in the city and from the beginning the spirit was right for u great meeting. Carlos Lane Jr. spoke representing the Hi Y Club in a very fitting manner. Mr. Bothwell ' gave a splendid paper. The address by Mr. Donnan was very interesting and helpful. ' :
. At 9 oclock Sunday morning ;the boys met in the high, school for their session.” Then to the M. E. church for a big union meeting of all the churches. -Mr. Earl W. Brandenburg of Chicago gave a very fine addregs which was greatly appreciated by the lrage audience. ° - :

' The closing session of the conference was held at 2 o’clock in the Presbyterian church. Mr. Brandenburg spoke ‘and challenged the fellows do in their every day life the things they knew ‘to be right. e

Wife and Children Lost.

Cook Elkhart railroad man left for Chicago to search for his wife and two-childrenfiAlta— 11 and Guy 2, who left last Tuesday ostensibly to return to Elkhart after a visit with a cousin in South Chicago. When they did not arrive Cook wrote and wired and Saturday received back letter and telegram with a notation saying his family started home Tuesday. Mrs. Cook recently suffered a nervous breakdown and her husband fears for her safety. :
