. May 1 travelers may begin riding the trains at reduced fares with the resumption by the railroads of the practice of = selling' interchangeable mileage books. The restablishment of the mileage books which were abandoned during the World war, re: sulted from the passage by congress of the bill introducted by Senator James E. Watson of Indianapolis, which directed the carriers to issue the bopks. : ~ ~ e

The damage suit of Mrs. Gladys Iddings against the New York Central Railroad Co., set for trial in the Noble circuit court at Albion March 22 : The Iddings’ suit is for $lO,OOO camages and is the outgrowth of the accident at the Kendallville Main street railroad cro’ssi'ng about a year ago when Scott ‘lddings the plaintiff’s husband was struck and killed by a fast New York Central train.' ;

Mrs. Jeynie Wilkinson Hunt, 80 of LaOtto: died suddenly Thursday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Luln Rhodes with whom she had been making her home. She was born in New York state but came to Indiana with her parents when a girl. ) .

McCray has called the leaders of farm organizations to meet with him and formulate a measure which will ® prove satisfactory to Indiana_pdlis commission merchants for introduction’at the next session of the legislature. If the farmers can be made to swallow this bunkum they are too innocent to run at large. ;
