- Mary E. Wills daughter of> William and Rebecca Warvel was born May tst 1848 in Beamsville, Ohio and de-| parted this life Feb. 9th 1923 aged 74 years 9 months and 8 days. Deceased came to Ligonier Indiana 46 years sgo. and has maintained continuous| residence here since that time. Mrs. Wills was a very active woman possessed as she was of an unusually strong constitution she carried on her work until she was stricken down with the illness that finally claimed her, and yet in her activities she did not forget to minister to those whd were in need and i was always a joy for htér-te-do for others. ; In 1873 she united with the Disciple church at Greenville, Ohip and maintained her membership there until death. On Nov. 2d she suffered a stroke of paralysis; from which she failed to recover, since that time kind hands have ministered to her needs, she feared not death but faced it with calmness, assured that death mean}_} ‘for her a home in Heaven. j Among her effects and written by her own hand were these words, expressive of the deceased. : | “The pains of death are past - Labor and sorrows cease and life’s 'warfare closed at last. 20 ‘Her soul is found in peace i' .Soldier of Christ well done . Praise be thy new employ and: while eternal ages run . o _ - Rest in thy Saviours joy.” me There remain to sorrow at her going four children Mrs. Hattie Emmett of Detroit, Mich. Charley Stillwell, of Columbus, Ohio, Maggie Bordner, Mishawaka, Ind., and George Wills of Ogden Utah. Two children William Vanscoyhe and Anna Wills having ‘preceeded her in death.
