Ligonier Gleaners Team Work. *
' The ‘Ligonier team of the Arbor of Gleaners won distinction in the conferring of degrees at Wilmington the other day where a class ‘of nineteen was initiated into the mysteries of Gleanerism. Thought te Have Been Stolen.
Owing to the alleged changing of the license plates on the car used by Raymond Slack formerly of Ligonier convicted booze runner, it is believea by the oGshen police that the machine is a stolen one. The automobile is being held in a Goshen garage for identification. ‘

William Collison Jr., 10 son of Mr. and’ Mrs. William Collison of Warsaw has been awarded a medal for his bravery in rescuing Amy Shaffer 11 who broke through ice on Winona lake 10 days ago. o ; :

To Restore Utility Control.
. Among the new bilsl introduced in the house was one by Representative Clapp of Marysville that would abolish the public service commission and restore municipal control over public utilities other than railroads. The railroad commission that preceded the public service commission would be restored. The bill provides that street railway companies telegraph and telephone, heat light water power and warehouse corporations would operate under the rates, prices and terms which were in force May 1, 1913 .

Sixteen foreign countries will be represented at the naturalization hearing before Judge Sol A. Wood in circuit court, Fort Wayne February 6. There are 83 members in the ‘class Thirty-five members were born iu Germany, eight in England, eight in Russia four in Greece, four in Poland four in Austrja, five in France, five in Canada, five in Ireland, five in Italy five in Hungrary two in Roumania and two in Scotland. Serbia, Switzerland and Sweden will each furnish one member of the class. ‘

s Aged Veteran Dies.
John iLttlefield aged 81 years is dead at Sturgis, Mich. He enlisted in the Union army at Kendallville when 22 years of age and served during the war of the rebellion. - -
Breaks Arm in Fall.
Beula aged 15 daughter of Mrs. Goldie Mayfield while visiting in Millersburg Monday fell and broke an arm. Dr. Lane gave surgical attention, using the x-ray. i :
