Two More Injured.

Chris Maurer of Goshen received a broken nose and had several ligaments in his left arm severed, while his wife sustained minor hurts Sunday afternoon when the Ford sedan owned and driven by Mrs. Maurer’s father and in which they were riding was struck by another sedan driven by Timothy Blosser of Nappanee ou the East Lincoln avenue road about two and a half miles from Goshen. None of the others were hurt. - Monday morning it was discovered that the wrecked Maurer machine had Peen stripped during the night of all its accessories. - L

Prisoners Escape.

John Horvath, 18, of Edwardsburg Mich., and Joseph Moore 25 colored of Battle Creek handcuffed together, escaped from a St. Joseph county deputy sheriff at Seymoure while being taken to Jeffersonville reformatory Tuesday. The prisoners asked to visit .the lavatory and dropped from a window while the train was in motion. There is no clue to their whereabouts. :

Registration About 85 Per cent.

It is estimated that 85 per cent ot Indiana voters have registered for the November election. The registration. in Noble county will show mnot over 75 per. cent according to officials but the official figures will not be available for some time. The woman registrants fall below that of the men. - - o

Child Dies of Burns.

Betty Jane Lantz 2 year old daughter of Joseph Lantz of Goshen died after she had received burns when her clothing came in contact with a gas stove at the Lantz home.

Mrs. Jacob Kreager aged 93 years, mother of J. D. Kreager of Ligonier is dangerously ill of pneumonia at her home in Cromwell with small chances for recovery. .

Big Fire Loss in State.

In 1921 the destruction of property by fire in Indiana amounted to over $8,000,000, and the loss was below that of 1920. ;
