. Noble: Has State Reputation. 1 ‘The Noble County Seed Growers Association met at the-County Agents office, Albion Wednesday evening September 27th and elected the following officers: T. J. Mawhorter President, H. G. Favinger, Vice President, Frank Lemmon, Secretary and ;Raydnondl ‘Shaffer Treasurer. S e - 'The seed growers ‘have experienc: ed a good fall trade disposing of practically all stocks at encouraging prices.. They anticipate a good demand for spring grains. &t , Best varieties for' Noble County were carefully considered and means for improving 'to “highest quality strains being grown were discussed. The seed growers are determined to produce the purest and healthiest seed tobe had. { Noble County “has a state reputation as a source for improved seed grains for which the Seed Growers Association is' largely responsible. ° Anether Service Rate Raise, A general increase in all parcels post rates in the United States is likely. Parcels post service has not been paying its way is the opinion of Post-master-General Work and his assistants. An investigation in under way to determine just how far parcels post receipts are short of the cost of the service. - When this is completed recommendation will be made to the Interstate Commerce Commission for increased rates providing the showing is as expected, T
Troubles Never Come Singly.
Mrs. Mark Krikorian an Armenian wife of Hagop Krikorian of Braddock near Pittsburg, Pa., gave birth to quadruplets all girls but the " babies died, one ‘at the Krikorian home and the other three at the Braddock general hospital. All the -‘babies were perfectly formed and weighed an aggregate of 19 pounds. Mrs. Krikorian 22 years old weighs 135 pounds and today is reported doing nicely at her home. 5

Court Term Opens.
The October term of the Neble circuit court was scheduled to convene today with 255 civil and about a dozen criminal cases on the docket. Among the latter are two( murder cases to be tried this term. b

LaGrange Corn School.
The LaGrange Corn School the big event of the year in that town will be held this week. Ligonier always furnishes her full share of visitors.
Mr. and Mrs. 'Charles ~Swickard drove over to Topeka Friday to coisult D. Vaughn. Mrs. Swickard has her tonsils removed some ‘time ago and she has’since been.quite ill.

S Mrs. Simma Engle 77 pioneer of Noble county died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her sister Mrs. Rebecca . Maloney at Avilla with whom she had made her home the past three years. Death was due .to cancer of the stomach. She was twice married Jesse Engle her second hushband dying tive years ago. For a number of years. Mrs, Engle resided in Jefferson township, where she was a faithful helpmate in farm work. She was born in Richland county Obhi., and came to this country in girlhood most of her life having been spent in Jefferson township. : Lha
