Fitch aged 76 years veteran jeweler of Albion and resident of the county for nearly half a century died Saturday morning at 6 o'clock from complications . with which he had been ill the past two weeks. ~ Given Suspended Sentences. ‘Mrs.: Lynn Hattel and ' daughter Frances the latter aged 19 formerly proniinent residents of Goshen, were given suspended sentences and fined with the costs $221, paid by Father Thomas N. Conrog an old friénd of Mrs. Hattel’s family, in circuit court at Fort Wayne the other day on a plea of guilty to forgery. While some counties in the state this .year. will have two sessions. of the registration board, other counties, including Noble, will have only one session, according to the Kendallville Nowsegyn, o o 0 0 g 1 To permit a'two day 'meeting of the registration board, the 1921 acts of the Indiana legislature require that a petition’ signed by at'least 300 resident freeholders shall be filed with the county auditor not later than June ¥ of the year in which the general election is ‘held. Auditor H. Clayton Erwin stated today that no ‘petition had been filed with him. : The law provides that if there is no petition filed for a second registration day there shall be one session of the board only and this session to be 29 days before the 'general election. This' will cause the registration day to fall on October 9 here and in other counties .where.a registration has not been petitioned for. : :

- Hurt in Peculiar Accident, Margaret, the 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Schmidt of Kendallville, was seriously injured when she was caught in the !wheel of a wagon while playing near her home. Her. right ankle wag fractured and both limbs were badly bruised. Just how the accident occurred is’ not exactly’ known. . The injured girl stated she was running beside the wagon and in some manner her foot was caught in the rear whegl. The driver of the veliicle hearing her cries, stopped as soon as possible and helped her from her pefilous position.
- Lisle is Arrested. = . As a result of Frank Lisle operating his dance pavilion at Rome City Sunday evening five affidavits were filed in the ¢ity court'at Kendallville Monday morning by the Rev.
