Pig Club Boys & Girls Get Under Way ~ THirty boys and girls proudly wended their way homeward from Albion, Saturday new owners of red, and black“,and white sp’otth pigs to be fed. They had been to the pig club distribution of the Durdc-Jersey and Spotted Poland - Swinebreeders Associations. - - 5 « Twelve 'Spoti;éd Poland Barrows and twelve Duroc-Jersey barrows . were provided one to‘each Junior stockman, to feed and develop into a prime “porker” Five Duroc gilts and three Spotted Poland gilts were placed with boys and girls who did meritorious club- work last year, i o The Duroc barrows averaged -40 pounds in weight while the Spotted Polands averaged 31 pounds. o Those receiving pigs were: Spotted Polands, Walter Becker, Leona Gaby, Nathan Bower, Samuel Hide, CGeorge Stringfellow, Everett Pressler, Harold Wible, Warren Whan, Lauren Smith Dale Weimer and Arthur Stringfellow.
