Enlisted Chamber at Elkhart.
The Elkhart Truth says in Speaking of the action of the Chamber of Commerce of th'atri_ty. “A communication was read from the Churubusco Development club asking Elkhart's co-operation with that/town and others along the Lincoln Highway toward securing a hard surfaced road for the portion of the Lincoln Highway from Ligonier to Fort Wayne. The, board authorized the chamber's co-operation in placing the matter before the state high‘way commission.” - _. ; Now if the Ligonier Chamber ‘of Commerce woull exercise the same interest it might have some influence on the state highway commission. » The Ligonier organiation must have an interest in this matter deeper than the Elkhart body. - Former Mayor Henoch has been doing all he can as an individual citizen but orggnized effort will no doubt accomplish more.

It is sincerely. roped that the next legislature will not consist of a set of fossils. Why deprive a few clean blueblodded sportsmen from taking 5 or 6 bass a day and this is a fair average? Do away with the bed rakers the trapperd, the netters, send them to the bastile for a year. Niné out of ten of these fish poachers care nothing for our waters but to steal from them. Let the boys fish any day with rod and line but taboo the rest.
