Driving Out Insect Pests,

Bitlor Blamer: - Ag the appointed leader in the drive against the ipsect pest in Perry township, I am asked”to make an urgent appeal to all farmers and landowners to burn their fence rows and waste places for the purpose of destroying as many insects as possible. In the regular cultivated and pasture lands many pests are destroyed each year, but in these other places they are often timeg protected and left-salive but this yearly -burning will kill many of them because o fthe comparative mild winter many insects were not killed and we are very likely to be troubled with many thig year. If we observe this request it may to some degree protect us from chinch bug algo which appeared in the eastern part of the connty. Therefore I urge that this precaution be taken an dthe work be done as efficiently and as early as possible. i - s
