Warsaw Man Gets Verdiet.
A verdict of $27,500 was returczed in favor of William 1. Lundy of Warsaw against the United States Fidelity and Guaranty company by a jury in federal court at Indianapolis Tuesday. The case grew out of a transaction between Lundy and the Stewart Farm Mortgage Co., of Kansas City, in September 1919 in which Lundy traded 240 -acres of farm land in Fulton county for 86 acres of Texas lands. The company signed a contract by which it agreed to pay Lundy $30,000 in event the.title to. the Texas land proved not to be good. : The title proved faulty and Lundy brought suit in federal court.
Esclibach Tuesday Eevening.
Jesse Eschbach of Indianapolis and a former resident of Ligonier will deliver an address before the Chamber of Commerce at the Christian church next Tuesday evehing after a luncheon is enjoyed served by the ladies of the church. The tickets have been.limited to 100 which will enable many more members to attend. As head of the state board of accounts Mr. Eschbach will tell of the operation of that important branch of the state government. The discourse will be well worth hearing.

Tomorrow. night in this city the Wolf Lake basketball team will play the local ball tossers in what promises to be a good game. The Wolf Lake boys have been winning a good many games but the Ligonier lads are not daunted. ;

This is the wsubject to be treated in a lecture tonight by a native of India at the Presbyterian church under the auspices of the Y. M: C, A, The Hi Y club will entertain at a six o’clock luncheon before the lecture.
