~ Fights Chinch Bugs Suecessfully H. K. Bessley of DeWitt county Illinois farmer found a way to fight chinch bugs. The bugs went past his barrier while he was cutting some oats. 'When he thought most of them had left the wheat stubble he plowed under four or five acres of corn on which the bugs .wereworking rolled ground, drilled in navy beans with a corn planter, and rolled the ground again. He did not rolled the ground akain. He did not cultivate «the beans and the corn is very good right up to thel ine where he ployed. ..Another Woman Postmaster. .. Mrs. Agnes M. Morley has been appointed postmaster of Brimfield to succed J. B.'Frick who resigned sometime ago. Anxious to Secure Field. The New York and Chicago Aviation ¢ompany has again written Mayor Henoch concerning a landing field in Ligonier. The mayor reqv;xests any owner of such ground to c¢ommunicate with him at once. It is very desirfable to have a station located in this city or near it. ' _ Armistice Day Observed. Dr. William 8. Fleming of Chicago will deliver the address at a union Armistice Day service Christian church 7:30 Friday evening. The subject will be “American Kings and Queens.” All are-invited. - : Lawrence Tyler of ILigonier and Carl Rhoades of Goshen have purchased the Darrogh Coal yards in that city and will conduct them in the future.
