Tribute to His Memory. ° Bowed down in grief because.of the death of our beloved brother, Isaac D. Straus, we are yet able to glean a measure of joy’ from the lessons which we might ‘learn if we will heed the story of his character and life.
It is given to but few men, to so live in the brief span of fifty-one years, that the impress of ideals should be felt not only 'in the community where they lived but throughout the entire state. It is therefore, fitting and proper, that Ligonier Lodge, No. 298, 1. O. B. B. do spread upon its records a lasting memorial to the memory of this splendid citizen, the charitable and earnest Jew and devoted. brother in Israel, who has passed from his sphere of usefulness in the material world to his eternal reward which awaits himn beyond : o Therefore, be it resolved’ that the charter of our lodge be draped in honor of his memory, that a copy of these resolutions be spread upon our records and published in the Ligonier papers and that a copy be submitted to the bereaved family. : ‘ Signed Leon R Wertheimer 4 AR Mier ‘ I.
