~ Musie at the Presbyterian Church ] A splendid organ recital will be delivered at the Presbyterian church next Sunday evening at 7:30 o’clock. The organist of the church ' Miss Martha Hutchison, has arranged a program :of the best music by the most noted composers for the organ and will also present some very delightful vocal numbers, These recitals in the past winter months have elevated the services, and kept them from being the tame, shallow, lifeless, non-inspir-ing and have awakened in the church interest to new spiritual reverence and devotion. Melody is a part of the- worship man can render God. These organ recitals have done much to kindle a little fire in some hearts. The pastor, Mr. Meeyr will given one of his short inspirational talks. All in one of the best and most attractive programs Ligonier has had.

Petition For Injunction is Filed. Attorneys for J. J. Cole, of Kendallville, has filed a petition .in the Noble circuit court at Albion to enjoin the contractors and county commissioners from proceeding with the improvement of the Wayne-Allen township | highway known as the Drake road. ] This is the highway leading into Ken- | dallville and is looked upon as a {rival of the Blazed Trail. Hearing | on the petition has not yet been fixed. | Some residents of Kendallville fear | that if the Diake road is paved with f concrete to a width of eighteen feet by the county the state will take it over and abandon the improvement of the Blazed Trail. The injunction proceedings will be bitterly fought. The only excuse Kendallville has for opposing the Drake road improvement | is that it might divert traffic from the Blazed Trail and tourists on the high-
way would c?se to pas sthrough the business section of Kendallville. *; The residents in the other portions of the county will have little sympathy for Kendallville and the act of bringing injunction -proceedings will be: generally condemned. = o Ligonier favers the improvement of the Drake road. ~ e et it ] i | ‘There is a movement on to. locate the naticnal headquarters of Elks in| Indisnapolls, .Lo
