Every 35 minutes some one is killed in a mctor crash. : ' R Despondent, Commits Sulclde. Despondent because of illness, from which it is said he feared he would not recover, Willlam T. Haney 34 years of age, committed suicide by hanging Friday night in the barn at the farm of his uncle, R. F. Thompson, on rural route No. 1, Monraeeville, Haney was employed as stock clerk at the plant of the General Electric Comnpany at Fort Wayne until about two weeks ago when he was taken ill and went to live with his uncle and .is mother, Mrs. Mary Haney at the home of his uncle. ' | Summer School at Purdue. The annual summer school, designed especially for teachers of vocational agriculture, domestic science and trades and industries will be held at Purude University this year from June 9 to Aug. 10. nine weeks. Instruction will be given in teachers' professional subjects, academic lines, agriculture, home economics, trade and industries and physiral education. The extensive laboratories of the university will be used for the instruction. Prof. George L. Roberts will serve as dean of the school. .
" Arrested at Warsaw. Charged with embezzlement, Miss Julia Ball,, of St. Joseph Mich., has been arrested while visiting at the homeé of a relative in Warsaw. The ‘sheriff from St. Joseph drove to Warsaw in an automobile. and returned with Miss Ball.
