- Boxing Bouts In Geshen. The boxing lid in Goshen for the season of 1920 will be tilted next Wednesday night, November 24th, in. Moose hall when several real scraps with noted artists will be staged. Eddie Welsh, 140 pound South Bend boxing wonder, and Harnk Singer, protege of Ed Smith, famous Chicago American sport scribe, will hook up in a 10 round episode as the headline atiraction. Three other stellar bouts will be put on, “Kid” Fay, Niles artist zoing e'ght rounds with Eddie Kearns well known Milwaukee gladiator, while “Batuling” Leake, local Sham*§ck phenomenon, and “Red” Becker star battier .of Elkhart, and- Gus 3wanson, the crafty gob from Goshea, and Brennan, will each go six rounds. " Gov.” Coolidge had probably read he Standard Oil schedule for gasolene, i . o - Wilson Slabaugh Dies. - Wilson Slabaugh 68, a prominent armer living 4 mile and half south~est of Nappanee, died very suddeuny Friday afternoon of neuralgia of “hé heart. Mr. Salbaugh apparently n good health had gone to the home f his son Wood Slabaugh across the road from his own home, and was 20lding one of his grandchildren on ais lap when he epired. Mrs. Wood 3labaugh noticed that he had sudlenly become silent and found that je wids dead. The deceased was a former resident of Noble county and was 1 cousin to Sidney, Willard and Ray 3labaugh.. The death. was briefly ‘mentioned in Tuesday's Banner. -~ Andrews Buys Building. Charles Andrews who with his brothers, Leo and George Andrews, recently took possession of “a candy titchen and restaurant in Ligonier has surchased the building in which the suginess is located for a considera~ion of ss,ooo.—Goshen News Times. Since loeating in Ligonier the AnIrews Brothers have been doing a big Jusiness and are very successful. T'hey recently added a high class res“aurant in connection with their candy <itchen and call it the Philadelphia. The building mentioned as purchased lormerly belonged to Ferd Ackerman.

Frank Cain, the well known tinner ind furnace dealer with lightning rods 1s a side line, will the first of the month move his shop from its present location across the street to his own building, the frame structure recently vacated by J. C. Miller, the grocerymnan who closed out his stock. Mr. Cain expects to make needed repairs ‘n his busineds room and enlarge his stock. Retail coal prices in Indiana now are on an average of $2.56 lower than ‘he prices prevailing before the state special coal and food commission is;ued its price fixing order, Chairman Eschbach declares.
