- Notice is hereby given that the following 1s a copy of a gravel road petition filed in Commissioners’ Court of Noble County, State ot Indiana, by J. Hamilton Nye, et al, to wit: . State of Indiana, Noble County S 3: . Petition by J. Hamilton Nve, -et al, for the grading, paving and improvement of a certain - highway located in Noble . County, Indiana. To the Hon. Board of County ’ Commissioners of Noble County, Indiana. e ; We, the undersigned, constituting more than fifty(so) freeholders and voters of the County of Noble, State nf Indiana, hereby pray that the foliowing highway in said County and State, be graded, drained and paved with either brick or concrete, said highway being described as follows, to wit: | . Commencing at the south end of the -present brick pavement on the road leading from Ligonier to Cromwe:l thence running in a general southwesterly direction on Jefferson street ‘through the town of Cromwell, to a point six hundred fifty (650) feet south of the intersection of Orauge and Jefferson Streets in said town, al-. 80 from the intersection of Jefferson with Orange Street, along Orange Street to Albion Road, thence in a general southeasterly direction alorg Albion Road to where the same strikes the section line between sections twenty one and twenty two (21 and 22) and there to terminate. - ' We recommend ‘that said highway be graded to a uniform width of six (26) feet exclusive of side ditches:
and that the center of said roadway be paved with ome course of brick or concrete pavement nine (9) feet wide on each side of the center line from the point of beginning to the east line of Lot 18 on Orange Street and from there to its eastern termination that it be eight (8) feet wide on each side of the center line. ~We further recommend that the grade shall include all cuts, fills, drains, approaches, side ditches, tile drainage and catch basins, and we further recommend that the turn outs fot a distance of four feet on each side of said proposed pavement ‘which is improved with the brick or concrete pavement and outside of the corporte limits of the town of Cromwell be graveled and thoroughly rolled until the same is firm and uniform. o
Petitioners further say that the cost of the improvement herein prayed for will be more than Two Thousand Dollars per mile; and the undersign ed petitioners pray that the said Bdard of Cimmissioners will submit all plans and specifications to the State Highway Engineer and the under- | signed petitioners further pray the sald Board of Cimmissioners to request the State Highway Engineer to' assign a representative of the State Highway Commission to inspect the | work of construction as it progresaes, ' | in the event the improvement herein’ prayed for is found to be 'ot’mbl!‘e'fl utility. .
