Elkbart Township Farmers Meet. (Wawaka Correspondent) ‘Wawaka, Ind, Oct. 18.—The Farmers’ federation of Eilkhart township held an enthusiastic meeting a: Copperville Thursday evening. The mectim was called to order by John E Pancake, township chairman. : ~ William H. Favinger of Albion coun ty president gave a splendid address, outlining the work of the federation 80 far accomplished, its future almsg, and other problems confronting it B. V. Widney, county agent, gave a ‘message of cheer and fellowship. while William Cochran of Ligonier spoke at some length on the coming membership drive. A gemeral meeting will be called Oct. 28 to get Feady for the big meeting. At this time, C. N. Masterson will be present and take charge of the drive. Dwight Mawhorter agent of Jasper county, has notified the iocal members that Mr. Masterson is a whirlwind at getting resuits, and ia an exceedingly live wire. When the| meeting is heid to launch the driv-s,l every member is urged to be present and bring a non-member with him. - Th Boys' and Giris" clubs of Elkhart township six fn number held a splendid meeting at the North Centralized school under the leadership ot Harold Sorgenfrel, club leader. Mr. Buffington left Ligonier two weeks ago for Washington where he took the examinations for the service. He passed with the highest grade ever given a flyer in that service and will be assigned to duty this week.
