Mrs. Shay will visit some time with her parents, ‘Mr. and Mrs, A. E. Wysong. Mrs. F. H. Ellsworth and little son King, arrived from Lansing, Mich., to celebrate the 11th birthday of Maste: King at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. King. The Anniston Star, Ala., devotes much space to a party given by.a prominent society lady of ‘that ¢ity in honor of Mrs. O. F. Gerber and her daughter ,Miss Estella, while they visited there. . .

Mrs. Louisa Harrison who spent the winter with her son in St. Paul, Minn., arrived Sunday evening. to spend a month with her son, W. C. B. Barrison and family. The lady was met in Chicago by Mrs. W. C. B. Harrison.

Mrs. Harry Clemens is spending a week visiting relatives in Mishawaka and Chicago. _ s - Mrs. Wes Cunningham and Mrs: Chas. Schlabach of Cromwell were visiting in South Bend Saturday. Peter Feldheiser, of South Bend, was in the city to spend the week end with his brother, Councilman Feldheiser, who is confined to his home by injuries received at the N. Y. C. station two weeks ago. Peter Feldheiser is a former resident of Noble county, leaving here a dozen years ago. Ha resided in the south a number of years and finally settled in South Bend.

The Goshen papers try to picture C. W. Torr, the dancing master, as a deep-dyed - villian. They claim he rushed away at sight ‘of Marshal Rigney and forgot to settle his hotel bill. In Ligonier Mr. Torr is considered quite harmless. i

Frank P. Wood was walking around among his friends last Saturday, almost as good as new. He is anxiously awaiting the period when croppies begin to bite - . e

- Mrs. Burt Graves and little son were in Elkhart Saturday. The body of the late Mr. Graves has been in a vauit there and will be brought to Ligonier for burial in a few days. S

Miss Bertha Latta, a graduate of Purdue, and representing the state board of education, was here inspecting the Ligonier schools. She was a guest while here of the J. T. and L. R. Latta families. R :
