~ Willlam J. Bryan delivered three addresses in Fort Wayne Tuesday. Monday afternoon the Fort Wayne purported to be an interview with Mr. Bryan in which he was shown to be op posed to a league of nations and the league to enforce peace. o The so-called interview was garbed extracts from utterances in a debats with Former President Taft before the war. = - ; . This {llustrates the disgraceful tactics employed by the News and Sen tinel. It shows no respect for the intelligence of its own party members when it tries to put over such bunk. Mr. Bryan in referring to the matter ‘said he believes in a league of nations and the league to enforce peace, no matter how he felt before the war. - % old Comrades Meet Daniel Culp, of Nappanee, came over and visited his old clvil war comrade Wiiliam Fetters, returning home Wednesday. The gentlemen were members of the 142 d Indiana and have met but twice since the war closed. While in the service they had their pictures taken, tin-types, and both lacked a few weeks of being 18 yéars of age. Mr. Fetters says there are only three members of his company left. . Of the regiment the old veterans recailed the names of the following now living. James Waddel, Millersburg; Marlin Rice, Ligonier; Harley Beebe, Pierceton; George Kreager, North Webster; Levi Treash, St. Joe; Jesse Nolan and John Groves Elkhart and Samuel Ey>r Wakarusa. Mr. Culp took delight in showing the photograph made from the old tin-type picturing a strip of a boy in a Union army uniform,
