At a second threshing Monday on the Gaby farm near Brimfield another big lot of wheat and 600 bushels of barley were put in the elevator. Postmaster Gaby and sons have a fat year as a result of bumper crops. Indiana has again left its mark on New Yorkstate. ‘‘Standpat” republicians in convention in Saratoga, New York, June 18 and 19, had the shock of their lives for not only were more than a hundred women delegates for the first time in the history of the republican party seated in the body of the convention, but the chairmanship of the most important com.mittee fell to a woman. Ashton Sedgwick is.in city. He had a letter Wednesday from his son Arthur who had been very ill at his Cleveland, Ohio, home and the young man is greatly improved and his re: covery will be complete. This is good news to the relatives and friends here. §
Mrs. T. C. Shobe had a letter from her son Robert T. Shobe on the battle ship Kilpatrick dated at San Juan, Puerto Rica. His destination is Panama. Mr. Shobe says the voyage was delightful cwing to the fine weather. His stay in Puerto Rico will be brief. i
Lieut. Maurice Sisterhen, writing from Camp Taylor to his parents Mr, and Mrs. George Sisterhen, says he was greatly pleased to receive th¢ Noble county contingent, among whom were many of his old friends. Herman Sack is to be placed in position to give the soldier boys some real music. A piano is to be placed in the barracks. :
