Schlabach farm near Cromwell, where he had lived many vears, and which is considered one of the best farms in Noble County. was sold at public auction on March 24th by Phil Carr acting for the heirs® The reputation of the farm attraeted a large crowd of farmers and the bhidding was spirited and the price realized, ¥ll5OO an acre.is considered reasonable, considering the quality and fine reputation of the farm. The successful bidder was the Sol Mier Company who seem to have the faculty of buying the good farms ‘when they are put up at auction, having recently purchased the Byler farm, oene of the best on the Haw Patch, paying $12500 an acre.
