* Daniel Christner, the seventeen-year-old son of David Christner, who lives west of Millersburg attempted to board a mwoving train at the bridge west of Millersburg, last Suanday afternoon, Christner is nowat home where he was taken by neighbors who found bim in the gulley below the track. He failed to cateh on and was.thrown off the bridge. An arm and several ribs were broken and he was badly bruised by the fall. He will know better next time.
Last week was set for changing the current of traffic from the left band to the right hand track on the Lake Shore, but the enormity of the undertaking was beyond the men who furnished the figures, and the present indications are that the date will be extended to somewhere around January 1. However it is not untimely to utter a word of warning to everbody of the danger attending such a radical movement. Parents should carefully instruct children, the teachers in our schools should, before dismissing pupils for the noon and evening hours, prompt them regarding this change, and grown persons as well should heed his warning.

Ike Straus,accompanied by Mrs. Straus, returhed home last Friday evening after an extended Eurogesu trip. They had a most delightful experience all the time they were away, the ocean voyages being exceptionally interesting. They spent most of their time at the famous German health resorts and Mr. Straus is much improved in consequence. Ray Winebrenner is in jail at Columbia City charged with horsestealing. - A rig belonging to Fred Shaw, a farmer living near Columbia City. was missed at 11 o'clock Saturday night from the hitch rack. Sunday noon the Whitley county sheriff was informed by a telephone message from Kimmell that young Winebrenner had been in that vicinity with a strange rig and that he 'had been started %asck to Columbia Uity by relatives. The owner of the horse and an officer met Winebrenner north of the city and took him into custody. He claims that he was drunk and that somebody put bim in the buggy and cut the horse loose.— All in a dry town.
