Miss Emuna Ditto of this city and Alfred Holtzhauer of Fort Wayne were married at Albion last Saturday pnight by Rev. C. E Luke. The MAarriage was asurprise to everybody bhere including Miss Ditto’s most intimate friends. Holtzhauer came to this city several years ago as a press feeder, workiog bere until last September when he suddenly quit his job. Miss Ditto had been a compositor in this office for several years She is an excellent young woman.

The city council room was invaded last Monday night by remonstraty ing property owners who do not want the proposed paviog of the alley west of Cavin street or along Fourth and Third streets. The remonstrators were represented by Hon, E. A. Dausman of Goshen who presented their cbjections. After hearing their protests the council went into executive session where it was agreed that the matter should be postponed until the next meeting of the council. 1n the meantims figures will be made upon new specifications that will materially reduce the cost.
