While at Plymouth the other day we had the pleasure of calling upon Charles Reynolds formerly of this city where he was welland {»opnlarly known as the “'‘clerk at Eldred's” Mr. Reynolds has a store of his own at Plymouth. Itis a drug store and we venture the assertion that there are but few like it-apywhere. It is the cleanest, neatest, best appointed and most systematically arranged drug slore that we have seen anywhere. The furnishings ‘are all of pleasing design and modern in construction and allow thé arrangement and display of a complete and comprehensive stock of drugs, medicines sundries, toilet articles, wall paper, and about everything generally found in a first-class drog store. A beautiful soda fount and accessories ocrupy the front part of the room. Mr. Reynolds, not only has a fine place but it stands inspection. It is one of the six stores out of 1100 in the state that is rated at the top and the iuspector says that there are none better. Special mention is made of Mr. Repnold’'s store as being a topnoteher. He is making & success of his business, is contented and bappy as a confirmed bachelor can be and has great faith in Plymouth and its future.

Allen W. Palmer, who has been in the government service in the Philippines for less than a year bas been kept on the jump all of the time. He has had several good assignments and promotions, and he is pow at the head of the Division of Saniiary Engineering, & most responsible position. The chiaf of the division is on his way to the U. 8. A. and Mr. Palmer was put in charge of the work. He is at tY)e head of all the sanitary work on the Islands and all of the matter has to pass through his hands a most responsible position for one so young and such a short time in the service. We predict that Palmer will not only make good but that he will take the opportunity to show his capacity to do & l“v amount of hard work and do it well.

Mrs. Abbie Draper, accompanied by her son, Frank Draper, and her daughter, Miss Anna B(;‘nper. will start to California this morning when they will begin life anew expecting to make that state their future home. They will not make any stops until they get to Los Angeles where they will visit for several days before going to San Diego where they will ‘giu Walter Draper and Charlie raper who have been there for several years. This will reunite the family in a far off strange land where their many friends in this city bope they will find happiness and prosperity. Mrs. Draper has but little left of the fortune invested in the electric lighting service in this city where she was forced out of business by a combination of eircumstances that reflects but little credit apon the agencies that brought it about. ; s
