Harry MclLean has arranged for his supply of ice for the summer. He has made his contract so that he will be able to supply the people with all that they need éven during the hot weather. He will use artificial ice and will get it at Mishawaka, where he can have sure and regular shipments. The base ball championship for Noble and Lagrange county high school teams will be decided by a game between Topeka who won the championship in the section made up of Topeka. Kendallville, Albion and Ligonier, and while Lima won the most games in the northern section, made up of Lima Lagrange Middlebury and Shipshewana. Ligonier were tailenders in the southern section dnd Shipshewana got the leather medal in the northern. -

According to present arrangements Noble county is to have a religious campaign. The whole county is to be invaded by the evangelists and a g'rent religious awaking is proposed. be evangelists at the head of the movement are Rev. W .E. Biederwolf, Rev. Tillman Hobsoun and Rev. Henry W. Stough and all of them to be accompanied by their own singing evangelists.” Rev. Biederwolf will head the movement at Kendallville, Rev. Hobson at Albion and Rev. Stough in this city. :

0. E. Brown left this morning for Toledo. having accepted an invitation to be present at the anoual banquet of the Toledo Chamber of Commerce, which will be held at the Secor botel at noon today. These banquets are always big affairs and a number of prominent men, among whom is Gen. Fred Grant, will make speeches. Arrangements will also be made at this meeting for a %nnd military tournament to be held st Toledo on July sth. Mr. Brown was one of the four agents along this division that received invitations to this banquet, two being om the air line road and two on the old road.— Kendallville Sun.

Roscoe Holderman, 19 years old, was killed near Wakarusa by a Wabash train late Saturday night. He was driving home from s party that he had attended and it is presumed was asleep fn his buggy when the horse reached the railway crossing just in time to be struck by the train.

The School board is seriously considering the erection of a suitable and modern high school building. This will meat jthe approval of the people of our city and all hepe that the project will be worked out with little or no delay. The mattér of the site can beeasily settled. Mr. Green of the school board says that the sentiment is in favor of the location of the building on the east half of Cavin Park, a most sensible and satisfactory solution of the question.

Leigh 8. J. Hunt, the world famed promotor and multi-millionaire was in the city for several moments last Saturday evening enroute to Cromwell where he visited with his sisters. He then drove to Whitley county, where he spent the night with his mother, and Sunday afternoon went to Pierceton, where he saw another sister and took a special train to Fort Wayne in time to catch the Pennsylvania limited for New York. lgr.
