The above &n&floa is often asked concerning Dr. Pierce’s two leading medicines, "Golden Medical Discovery” and =Favorite Prescription.” The answer is that ®*Golden Medical Discovery ” is a most potent alterative or blood-purifier, and tonic or invigorator and acts especially favorably in a curative way upon all the mucous lmL:xg surfaces, as of the nasal passages, throat. bronchial tubes, stomach, ,bowels and bladdeg;curing a la, gercent. of catarrhal ca%{a'hether e disease affects the nasal p the t, larynx, bronchia, stomach\(as ca ] dysgepsia.), bowels:(as mugo . bladder, uterus or‘ other peélvic or ¥ nin < cessful in affect~ he = Favorite Prescription” is advised for the cure -fiT-Tg diseases—ithose DEC J "..'...:,. geranigements and [Teg %Gflfi;{ e only. - is a powerful yet gently acting invigorating tonic and nervine. For weak wornout, over-worked women—no matter what has caused the break-down, “Favorite Prescription ” will be found most effective in building up the strength, regulating the womanly functions, subduing pain and bringing about a healthy, vigorous condition-of the whole system. A book of particulars wraps each bottle giving the formul= of both medicines and quoting what scores of eminent medical authors; whose works are consulted by physicians of all the schools of practice as guides in prescribing, say of each ingredient entering into these medicines. The words of praise bestowed on the several ingredients entering into Doctor Pierce’s medicines by such writers should have more weight than any amount of non - professional testimonials, because such men are writing for the guidance of their medical brethren and know whereof they speak. i . Both medicines are non-alccholie, nonsecret, and eontain no harmful habitforming drugs, being composed of glyceric extracts of the roots of native, American medicinal forest plants. They are both sold by dealers in medicine. You can’t afford to accept as a substitute for one of these medicines of known! composition, any secret nostrum. - : Dr. Pierce’s Pellets, small, sugar-coated, easy to take as candy, regulate and invigorate stomach, liver and bowels.

For a year or more he has had an ambition to be the owner of an express wagon and in order to secure his bean ideal he made Harvey Hontz his treasurer, depositing with him every cent he could get hold of legitimately. Last Thursday evening Teddy appeared before the usual erowd at the door of the hardware store, and in his normal condition. The meeting was informal but Harvey opened the proceedings by announcing the fact that he had ninety-eight eents towards the purchase and was willing to give one more provided Teddy would go home and wash his face. Another cent was added to make the dollar and off went Teddy like a shot and returned in a few minutes radiant from a strong application of soap and water to find the crowd had made up the balance necessary for the transfer of the wagon to him. Now when you come to town you may see him coasting down t 2 the livery barn on the sidewalk all day loeng the happiest kid in town. A.J. Nusbaum, Batesville, Ind., writes; “Last summer I suffered for three months with a summer cold 8o distressing that it interfered with my business. I had many of the symptoms of hay fever, ard a doctor’s prescription did not reach my case, and I took several medicines, which seemed only to aggravate my case. Fortanately insisted upon having Foley’s Honey and Tar in the vellow package, and it quichly cured me. My wife has since used it with the same success.” 24-4¢

The Price we Pay : A western miller ventures to remark that the price of flour is going up, and that 5-cent loaves will ;soon be 6¢cents. Why,he doesn’t explain; but, doubtless, its the same with breadstufis asswith meat, which has 'kept:on rising in price in the face of ‘a plentiful and ever-increasing supply. The wheat; corn and other grain crops are more abundant this year than ever before. But, protected by tariff from foreign competition, meat trusts and grain trusts can regulate the supply and defy the laws of trade.—Brooklyn Citizen. IS S s el NS FOLEYSHONEY-TAR
