Wawasee Wavelets.
At Lake Wawasee the resorters are coming in and the hotels and boarding houses are at last being filled up. Among the persons of prominence who arrived during the past week were ex-Senator Newby of Knighstown and Charles Bookwalter of Indianapolis. A celebrity to arrive this week will be Prinece Pu Lung, who will be the guest of "Wm. Fortner and Joseph Lily. The famous Indiana poet, James Whitcomb Riley, and a party of friends have engaged quarters at Ed Ditton's hotel- for the coming week. His friends at the lake hope to be favored with some fine reading while he is at the resort. Elwood George, the well known traveling man pugilist, of F't. Wayne is stopping at the summer home on his island. The most enjoyable social function of the week was a whist party given by Mrs. Sol Mier of Ligonier. ] The fishing continued excellent througout the week with the possi-l ble exception of Saturday, when the } high winds had a tendency to drive! the finny tribe too near shore. Ex-; Senator Newby and friends yeater-| day succeed in taking several strings of black bass of good size. After the, morning’s fish the party enjoyed dinner ‘at Ed Ditton’s hotel. ‘‘Ditton Dinners’ are fagt becoming famous especially to fishermen. Fishing has not been go good at Wawasee before 1n years and much credit is given the Wawasee Fish Protective association and its deputies.—Goshen Democrat.

Suffering e v o Will Not Help Your Disease, but Will -WeaKken Your : Nerves. Folks who think it is better to bear pain than soothe it—are wrong. Old-fashioned doctors used to say it was better, because they had nothing with which to ease pain but dangerous, heart-paralyzing drugs. ; But now, that a safe remedy has been found, Dr. Miles’ Anti-Pain Pills, it is wrong to suffer, for nothing can be gained but weakened nerves. ! A safe rule to remember is: When in pain, take an Anti-Pain Pill. This will soothe your quivering nerves. Dr. Miles’ Anti-Pain Pills relieve pain by restoring the natural secretions, in which they differ from opium and similar narcotic drugs, which relieve pain by checking the action of the glands. They are sure and harmless, and are the latest medical treatment for the cure of Headache, Neuralgia, Backache, Rheumatism, Dizziness, Toothache, Stomachache, Menstrual (Monthly) Pains. Also nerve irritations like SeaSickness, Car-Sickness, Sleeplessness, Indigestion, etc. .
