Mr. and Mrs: Ira Shirk will move to South Bend this week where they will make their future home. We are sorry to see them leave Albion, . Miss Bertha Walters returned from Fostoria, Ohio, last week. where she was visiting her sister, Mrs. W, O, Allen, for the past month.

Russell, jr., and daughter, Velma, returned from Fort Wayne on Monday where they visited relatives for a few days. Marshal Landgraft did good waork on the streets Monday leveling them with the road machine: He is an excellent marshal and should be re-elected. Catharine Pinlot secured a decree of divorce from T'homas Pinlot and Minnie A. Shamblin was given her liberty from Oscar N. Shamblin, last week. -
B. C. Briggs, formerly night operator at this station, but now located at Rock Island Junction, Il , was shaking hands with his many friends in town last Saturday. Quite a number of Masons from Lionier, Rome City and Avilla attended lodge here last Friday evening. A banquet was given at Straub’s restaurant after lodge. ‘
J. G. B. Atwood, W. F, Clapp, Dr. N. G. Reiff, O. L. Castator and L. S. Castator attended Masonic lodge at Ligonier last Wednesday evening and report an excellent time. - :
The I. O. O. F. of this place are agitating the question of building a lodge room. They will put another story over John D. Black’s brick block lif the permigsion can be secured from him.

C. Green. The present suryeyor’s office will be used as a grand jury room while the grand jury room will be utilized as a consultation room. :
The Daughters of Rebekah lodge of this city have organized a degree staff and have purchased the requisite paraphernalia and will soon be proficient in the exemplification of the beautiful and impressive degree. A large number of applicants are khocking at the portals for admission. ‘ There are a large number of Republicans anxious to serve the «‘dear people’’ as marshal. The names of Ben Smith, Isaac Huff, Grant Skedgel and Mr. Gillet are now added to those published last week. We hear it currently reported that the marshal’s salary will be reduced to $3O per month. =~ -
- Revival services closed at the U. B. church last Wednesday evening. The church was crowded nightly to the doors and great interest was manifested. About twenty came forward and expressed a willingness to forsake their sing. Rev. J. A. Farmer is proving to be a popular pastor. We have heard many favorable comments on his work and preaching. : o
