- Henry Chance—or more widely known as the “Buckeye Broadax,” lectured on Tuesday evening at the old church, to quite a full house. Mr C. is quite a broad-ax and a ‘meat ax’ too on the rum-venders. He goes in for moral suasion where there is any moral gromnd to sow the seed upon—but when -t.\h;eu! is no: moral sentiment that ‘emm be effected by moral considerations ‘—he then goes in for legal snasion. Mr C. also mentioned some circum#tances where Positive and' Auger-sna-‘sions had been used. Mr C. lectures again this (Wednesday) evening; ‘4t which time he offers the ‘spirit~sellers’ twenty-five cents an hour each to occupy seats with him in the pulpit. =~ P. 8.
