" Perry Township Meeting.—We arée requested to say that the Republicans of Perry township, will meet at the school house in the village of Ligonier, at 4 o’clock P M, on Saturday, August 21 for the purpose of electing delegates to the county nominating convention b the 28th inst. : i el v ” p&~1t will be seen by reference to the advertisement of Dr. Dewey, that he has removed his office to Fisher’s block up stairs, in the room with Dr. Lower;: where he will be happy to receive calls from any who may wish work in his line. A - We have had the pledsiire of inspecting a set of artificial teéth which he is now, fitting, and feel dispesed te pronounce them of a superior quality.— The importance of having decayed teeth cleaned and filled with pure metal, is too well known to need comment. ; —b b e pen. % Rust in Wheat. ; The wmillions of dollars lost every year by the wheat.growing potiions of our country, on accoutit of injury from rust, should arouse inquiry into the causes of this malady, with the view of finding a remedy for its ravages.— Our friend and correspondent, William 1. White, of Aurora, Indiana, remarked to us, i a conversation we had with him & few days sinee, that he'lately met withan old Virginia farmer, whb stated that he had wniformly saved his wheat from all injury from the rust.— 1t is well known that the rust attacks the wheat plaut in hot, murky weather. Every ove knows the time when danger is to be apprehended. It is in this fog gy, murky, still weather, that he carries his plan.into exe¢ution of saving himself from loss. A bed-cord or clothes-line -is taken, and two boys—bue at cither end—go through” the wheat, knocking and bending the wheat stems partially down relieving it from water eclinging to it. Or in other words, as rust never takes place when it is windy, an artificial wind is created, so far as getting clear of -wet« ness frem the wheat stalks is concerned. This is something very easily tried, and it a farmer does net choose to try it on a whole field, it will cost but little to make the trial fof an acre or two.— Ohiv Valley Furmer, L el -B8&5~ In the Supetior Court at Upsom Ga., last week, 2 brothers framed Reid, were sentenced .to the Penitentiary, having two other brothers in that institution at the same time.

In cases where old age adds Its influence, it is almost impossible to add ¥igor and health, and although mahy remedies have been tried, all have filed, till B@RHAVES HOLLAND BITTERS were known and used, In .every case where they have been employed; they have invariably given stremgth and restored the appetite.— They have become a great agent for this alone, and are used by many people who are suffering fromr foss of appetite and general debility.
