MEDICINE:; 9 o S i * Provipenor, April 7, 1876. Mgz. H. R.Stevens—DearSir: When I wasabout 8 years of age a humor broke out upon me, which my mother (ried to cuare by giving me herb teas and all other such remedies as she knew of, butit continned to grow worse, until finally she consulted a Jyhysician and he said I had the salt rheum, and doctored me for that complaint. He relieved me some, but said I could not be permanently cured as the disease originated in the blood. I femained a great sufferer for several years, until I heard of and consulted a phfsician. who said I had scrofulous humor and if I would allow him to doctor me he would cure me. I did so, and he commenced healing up my sores and succeeded in effecting an external cure, but ina short time the diseasc appeared againin a worse form than ever, a 8 cancerous humor upon my lungs, throat and head. I suffered the most terrible gmin, and there geemed to be dg;o remedy, and my friends thought 1 must goon die, when my atlention was called, while reading a newspaper, to a VEGETINE testimonial of Mrs. Waterhouse, No. 364 Athens-st.. South Boston, and I, formerly residing in Sonth Boston and being })ersonally acquainted with her and knowing her former feeble health, I concluded I would try Vegetine., After I had taken afew hottles it seemed: to force the sores out of mg system, Ihad running sores in my ears whic for'a time weié very painful, but I continued to take the Vegetine untill had taken 25 bottles, my health lm-groving all the time from the commencement of the firse bottle, and the sores to heal. 1 commenced taking the Vegetine in 1872, and continued its constant use for six months. At the gresent time my health is better than it ever has een since I was a child. The Vegetine is what ‘helped me, and I most cordially reccommend it to all snfferers, especially my friends. I had been'a suffer for over 30 years, and until I used the Vegetine, I found no remeéy; new I use itasmy family medicine and wish no other. : : * . Mrg, B.C. COOPER. No. 1 Joy Street, Providence, R. There never has been a time when the healing of s 0 many different diseases has been caused by outward applicatiofl as the present. Itisannndisputed fact that over half of the entire population of the globe resort to the ure of ordinary plasters. De. Menvin’s Capsioum Porous PLASTERS are acknowledged by all who have used them to act qumicker ttfi:x any other plaster they ever before tried, and that one of these ‘plasters will do more real service than a hundred‘of the ordinary kind. All other plasters are slow of action, and require to be worn continually to effect. a cure; but with -these it is entirely different: the instant one is applied the patient will feel its effect, . Physicians in all ages have thoroughly tested and well know the effect of Capsicum; and it has always been more or less used as a medical agent for an outward application ;.but it is only of very recent date that its advantages in a porous plaster have been discovered. Being, however; convinced of the wonderful cures effected by Dx. MzerLvin's Capstoum Porous Prasters, and their superiority over all other plasters, they now actu.ally prescribe them, in their practice, for such diseases as rhenmatism, pain in the side and back, and all such cases as have required the use of plasters or liniment. = After Eou have tried other plasters and liniments, and they have failed, and you want a certain cure, ask l;g:r d:ng%;t for Dr, MELvan’s Carsioum Porous PLASTER, < You can hardl{ ‘believe your own convicu{ms ofits wonderfal effects, Although Yowerfn and quick in its action, you canrely onits safety for the mosi delicate person to wear, as it is free from lead and other poisonous material commonly used in the manufacture of ordlnarxy plasters, 'One trial is a sufficient gnarantee of its merits, and ong plaster will seil hundreds to your friends. iy i Ask your drnggist for Dr, MeLvin’s Capsiouym Porous Pr.AasTeß, and take no other; or, on receipt of 25 cents for one, $1 for five, or ;9 for a dozen, they will be mailed, post—g:id. to any address'in the United States or Canadas.
