AN exchange makes a very sensible suggestion‘to young men. In the present scarcity of cooks, it frequently happens that thie duty of getting breakfast devolves upon the young lady of the house, and, in that case, she shéu%d not be kept up too late at night. The editor: further lays down the general proposition that there are very few young men capable of entértaining a young lady for a longer time than two or two and a half hours.— Let our young men give this suggestion due consideration. ~ The popular and efficient mail agent, L. H. Johnson, has been very sick for two weeks, but has recovered again and will be able to be aboutina few days. He says the reason why we are so.long getting papers from New York is that the paper mails ‘for Indiana have heretofore been marked direct to Indianapolis via Pennsylvania Central railroad, they sometimes lay blocked up at Pittshburgh a day, And then lay perhaps ove day in Indianapolis, reaching here by the way of Laporte, He also stated that the dela'y is being remedied, and now hm}ing the postal car on the “ lightning ” over the Air Line, there will soon be no more cause for complaint in‘that particalar, =7O ".0 ¢ o

On Saturday night last there was an old fashioned, belling' in the eastern part of town. 5 No Better Blood Purifier than

DR. WEAVER'S

MEDICINES, FOR HUMORS.

These invaluable medicines have achieved a complete triumph in eradicating Humors of all kinds from the human system. -They were introdueed to the public some sixteen years since and have been used with entire success. The Canker énd Salt, Rheum Sfyrup is taken internally, which cleanses the blood by throwing impurities to the surface, when the Cerate is applied externally, and all eruptions u?r_e destroy+ ed, and health and beauty are restored. Their astonishing success hagcalled out many ignorant pretenders, who have introduced their wonderful preparations t¢ the public. They are out in almost every form, from Panaceas down to Pills, and ell-for Hamors,. (Qf courss they are.) But it has been reserved to Dr. Weaver’s Syrup and Cerate to achieve what, under the circumstances, may be regarded as the most brilliant friumph yet achieved by any medicine ever introduced to the American public. Why is this? * Simply becéuse theév perform what t{ey promise ; and wotwithstanding the introduction of these new and wonderful preparations to the public, the Salt Rheum Syrup and Cerate keep steadily on their way, conquering as they go. If the public wish te try these-new preparations we have not & word to say, for tPey‘have asure remedy to fall back upon, viz:"Dr. WeAvER'S Canker and SALr Rueus Syrop and Cerate,— Of this faet:the pablic dre well aware, for thounsands in all sections of the eountry have been cured by them after all other\remedies have utterty ?ile@. ; sy e e .
