| Hendallville Correspondence. KEeNpALLVILLE, Dec. 3d, 1869, . DEAR StoLL :—Since last I had a chat with the readers of thé BANNER, earth ‘has laid aside her robe of flowery green, “November came.on with an cye severe,”. and clothed her with a garment of beautiful white. The flowers are dead ; the. sweet carols of thic feathered warblers are hushied; the chill winds are howling around mansion’ and cot; the angel of seasons has taken away the beautiful, but in return has brought us that happy time, when all that we most dearly love is gathered around the ¢beerful fireside of home, —-at least T trust it is such to the readers of the BANNER, and to kim who every week sends it ont to gladden the hearts of thousands. Ifiext to my church paper, the BANNER 18 the most welcome of the six weeklies Jthat regularly visit my read ing room. Besides the acknowledged superiority of the editorial department of your paper over any other in Northern Indiana, its locnl department is equal to any 1n the county. And if those who can will but write, when matters of local or general interest suggest themselres; it can be made equal fo the best in the State.—— Then there arc the original poems by Miss Lévering‘:which are admired by old and yonng everywhere, and the sélections are choice.
