The Fair. - iy "The 14th Annual Fair of the Noblé County Agricultural Society was held on the society grounds, near this place, on Weduesday, Thursday and Friday of last. week, and we congratulate our agricultural friends throughout the county upon the complete success of the Fair in all rc"éspccts. | ; : % " For a few years last past, it seems as though there was a lack of interest felt in the welfare of the society, doubtlessly superinduced by the effort of certain parties to manipulate the concern in the interest of the radical party. The consequence was that mahy of our substantial farmers determined to have nothing to do with the society under these circumstances. This year soungd, practical men determined to retrieve the honor of the society. Tlts officers pushed boldly forward, and improved the grounds uutil they were in excellent condition. Evergthing was dgne that could add to the comfort and ‘convenience of exliibitors and visitors, and for this the officers are entitled to great credit, which, we believe, is gen‘erti;lly awarded them. Fair weather prevailed, and the reéceipts amounted to over sBoo—enough. to defray all expenses of this and firrfiér years. On Thursday and Friday the attendancé was -especially large, and all secmed to be we'l pleased. The show#= rticles was fully equal to that of formeé: years. True, there was not as grcat a display of some things as might have been desired, but in others there never. was a better exhibit, Our health having been too feeble to attend the Fair for a longer period than about an hour on the last day, and not having succeeded in procuring the services of a repoiter; we cannot give particulars, but will supply the deficiency hy publishing the award of premiums in a futare issue, ap(i such references to articles exhibited as we can obtain from the Secretary and may he of general intéhest to the public.
