At this time all classes using 5 graded lessons will be promoted and E certificates given to all pupils promoted. i s 5 Sunday will also be the time for in-. illation of officers. J. W. Witt has for years been the faithful and hard- ! working superintendent, but has ask ; E to be relieved of these responsibilities. ' E The newly elected head of the school is Harry Bohannon. The transfer of official relation will be made next .Sunday. Mr. Bohannon has already , E issued a call for a meeting of officers s and teachers to organize the worki for the coming year. i This school feels that the time is here for a city-wide organisation for Sunday school workers looking toward a worthier emphasis upon the educational aspects of religion. Methodist.

Few schnols are better officered and organized to do its work than Centenary. Dr. Ball, the efficient superin-; tendent, has been at its head for 20 years. There are 59 officers and teachers in al! and th? school is divided into seven departments. The total enrollment is about 1,100 in all department. There are two teacher ; training class conducted by Mrs.; Mary Klickinger. Centenary haa no of the best orchestras in the state, un-; Jer the leadership of Prof. Huckstep. No organisation of the church is more effective and Vfficient in extending ; the kingdom of Christ among men j and conserving and unfolding child j life and developing Christian ehar-i acter. A child that misses the training and inspiration of such a Sunday school as Centenary will be at disadvantage all through life. Sunday, ; October 14th, is to be Rally Day with ; us, in keeping with the ether school! of the city and we expect 700 in attendance. If we succeed in this we! will need the co-operation of all the parents of the church. The church,

will be beautifully decorated and a fine program will be rendered.

McMains, four miles west of Lebanon on the Crawfordsville road will hold his third annual sale of the famous big boned Spotted Poland Chinas. The sale will be held under a large tent rain or shine and while it is not being very widely advertised, it would be a good opportunity for toe farmers of this community to get good boars and gilts and tried sows at their own price. They are great stretchy fellows with deep bodies, mammoth sise and bone and spotted up like leopards; the finest lot of spring pigs we have seen; they look like hogs. With hogs hovering around the $20.00 mark and old time farmers and good feeders predicting the $30.00 hog for next summer and with the greatest

corn crop the world haa ever known

and a decrease in the production of swine in almost every state in the union, it is no wonder there is such s demand for good brood sows to farrow next spring. SPFXIAL MASONIC NOTICE. Boone Lodge No. 9 F. and A. M. 7:00 p. m., Friday, October 5. Called meeting. Work in Master Mason de gree.
