stunned when he was thrown to the grouml by a horse which he was lead
ing idong the road near Sheridan. A machine was approaching from the rear, "the horse shied, and Mr. Kercheval was thrown on his back, hitting his head on the ground. He says he and the horse were off the road, out in the grass along the side, anil that the muchine pulled nut of the way and ran as close tfl the horse as possible. The only reason he can give for the action was to scare the horse and cause a little excitement.
