Of ce-irse people are inquiring of everybody e:se "whs", is the matter with the court house clock?" The town seems all wrong without the clock's familiar striking and its correct time. It came to a stop yc ,terday afternoon shortly after 2::tn, and the hands will probably stay there for several days. The cable holding the big striking weight had become runted and broke, putting the striking out of commission.
