Infected Swine. I J. It Fickle, well known veterinary of Jfichiganaown, ia slowly recovering from o serious ease of blood poisoning at the St. Elisabeth hocpital iar Lafayette where he is under treatment. Several weeks ago Dr. Fickle was called to the home of farmer to care for some cholera infected kegs. He used a needle in imcelatirrar the hogs with a serum and in some manner scratched his hand. He paid no attention te the wound 'or several days although it became inflamed. A short time later he de veloped a bad case of blood poison ing. When the illness did not re spond to local treatment he went to Lafavette where he entered the hospital. According to reports from Lafayette his condition has been serious hut he is believed to be steadily recovering. He has been in the hospital for more than a week.
